Galaxy S4 news: Images Of Prototype Leak, Floating Touch Feature Rumoured

Samsung Galaxy S4 unveiling is expected in three days, but the rumours about the price and specs of the smartphone refuse to cease. New images of the next offering from the South Korean firm have been published by a Chinese blog, which confirms most of the speculations surrounding the device. Reports suggest that there might be two versions of Galaxy S4.

The international variant of Galaxy S4 is reported to feature Samsung’s 8-core Exynos5 Octa processor with a 1.8 GHz clock speed while the US version of the device will comprise of a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at the same speed. The recent image leaks do no show any drastic changes in the design of the smartphone from its predecessor.

According to the Chinese blog, the images might be the prototype of Galaxy S4, but Samsung is known to disguise its initial workings of the device. Other rumours about the Galaxy S4 features include a floating touch attribute, which utilises Samsung’s Air View technology culminating in touchless gestures. S4 is also speculated to house a display made of green PHOLED, which is 25% more efficient than the normal display.

There have been numerous rumors about the smartphone from the South Korean firm, which include a 4.99-inch full HD display with resolution measuring 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is expected to run on the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. S4 will also include a 13 MP rear camera and a 2.1 MP front camera with the capability of recording 1080p video.
