PS4 is rumoured not to play CDs and Super Audio CDs
PS4 news has been growing in abundance since the announcement by Sony about its new PlayStation. The recent PS4 specs rumours state that the new console from the Japanese conglomerate will not support CDs, if anyone is still using them. Sony has apparently informed a media avenue in Japan that PS4 will not play CDs or Super Audio CDs.
News reports from the PlayStation event stated that Sony has partnered with Ustream, a major video streaming service, for PS4. The video streaming service is apparently critical to PS4 according to various news avenues. The ‘share’ feature of PS4 will allow the users to upload saved gameplay video clips or directly stream their game out to the internet.
Speaking at a conference, EA Chief Technical Officer, Rajat Taneja said, “PS4 has 8 to 10 times the power of current-generation consoles, making it a gigantic leap for the industry. We no longer have to constrain our games or ration computer graphics, memory or bandwidth. We can let the games really flourish in 1080p, 60 frames a second.”
Sony has not yet clarified it stance on the subject of pre-owned games, whether or not, PS4 will support second-hand games still seems uncertain. With PS4 providing enhanced gaming experience, new games have been lined up to debut on the console. Battlefield 4 is apparently been tailor-made for PS4 with 1080p graphics at 60 frames a second.
With PS4 rumours ruling the tech news, Sony would be looking to show off the console in the coming few months. PS4 is slated to release somewhere around 2017 holiday season.
