SMS : stands for short message services . A message consists of maximum of 160 alphanumeric characters. This can be sent from the mobile station i.e. from your handsets. Even if the power of the mobile phone is switched off the message will be stored and will be transmitted to its destination station when the power is switched ON.

Cell broadcasts : When a message is to be sent to multiple destinations this service is used.

Voice mail : In this your message is stored and sent to the destination mobile station as a sound signal i.e. you can send a message in your voice to others.

Call Baring : With this a mobile subscriber can prevent outgoing calls, incoming calls even roaming outside the home area.

Call forwarding : The subscriber is able to forward an incoming call to any other number with the help of this.

Call hold : Using this service, the subscriber can interrupt an ongoing call and then subsequently reestablish the call.

Call waiting : This service is used to inform the subscriber about an incoming call in the middle of a conversation. The subscriber can answer, reject, or ignore the incoming call.

Subscriber can indulge in conversation with multiple people also as a sort of conferencing

Caller identification : With this service a subscriber can see the number (ISDN number) of the calling person on his or her Mobile phone.
